UMMAT DAILY ■ The controversy over the return of the Grand Imam of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI), Habib Rizieq Shihab, will affect the strength of the government's opposition.
This was the statement from the Political and Governmental Committee for the Action to Save Indonesia (KAMI) Coalition, Gde Siriana Yusuf, to the media crew, on Thursday (26/11).
"Whether we like it or not the controversy of HRS (Habib Rizieq Shihab), currently HRS is an influential figure in society and is the most capable of moving the masses," said Gde Siriana.
The Executive Director of Indonesia Future Studies (INFUS) assesses that the existence of HRS can gather figures who have been opposition to the government, but do not have a dominant figure.
"I believe that HRS is able to gather and unite all national opposition figures in one line to save Indonesia," concluded Gde Siriana Yusuf. (**)
